A clear basis
for your project.

Read these terms alongside your quotation and approved specification before confirming your commission.

The written project documents record the agreed scope, price, payment stages and delivery arrangements.

01 / The agreement

Your project
in writing.

These terms describe bespoke furniture and woodwork projects offered under the Fosource name. Your quotation or order confirmation identifies the contracting supplier and records the scope, price, currency, payment schedule, delivery arrangements and contact details.

An enquiry or preliminary discussion is not an order confirmation. Please review the written project documents, clarify any missing detail and keep a copy of what is agreed.

02 / Specification

Specification
& materials.

The approved drawings, dimensions, materials, finish, quantity and any accepted samples define the commissioned work. Confirm important requirements such as colour matching, fit, tolerances and intended use before approval.

Natural timber varies in grain, colour and its response to humidity. These characteristics do not excuse defects or failure to meet the agreed specification. Website images illustrate the work; the approved project documents record what is being commissioned.

03 / Payment

Payment
& approval.

The quotation sets out the price, currency, payment stages, method and any included or excluded charges. Please ask for clarification before confirming.

Production scheduling takes account of the agreed approvals, sampling and payment milestones. Making time and transit time are considered separately.

See Payment & delivery for the practical points to confirm with your project.

04 / Changes & returns

Changes
& returns.

Request changes or cancellation promptly in writing, with your project reference. Any proposed adjustment to scope, price or timing, and any cancellation charge or refund, must be explained in writing and comply with the agreement and applicable law.

Because each piece is made to order, we do not accept returns or exchanges for a change of mind or other reasons unrelated to quality. This does not affect mandatory rights under applicable law, including rights concerning faulty, misdescribed or non-conforming goods.

05 / Delivery & inspection

Delivery
& inspection.

Before dispatch, we provide photographs or a video of the completed piece for inspection against the agreed specification. Please raise any visible discrepancies before dispatch.

The order records the agreed delivery service, destination, packing and any assembly or installation scope. Check which transport, destination and import charges are included, and flag access restrictions before delivery planning.

Factory dispatch & transit. The factory is responsible for completing production and handing the goods to the agreed carrier by the factory dispatch date recorded in the order. Transit is outside the factory's direct control. Carrier transit times and arrival dates are estimates unless we have agreed a firm arrival deadline. Actual arrival depends on the airline, shipping line or other carrier's operations. This does not limit any agreed delivery obligation or responsibility under applicable law.

Exceptional freight changes. If war, natural disasters or comparable events beyond our reasonable control directly increase freight costs before dispatch, we may propose an adjustment limited to the actual, reasonable additional transport cost. We will provide the reason, amount and supporting carrier information for your written agreement before applying it. Any agreed difference is payable before dispatch; the product price remains unchanged. If we cannot agree, we will discuss alternative arrangements without limiting any cancellation or refund rights under applicable law.

Check the packing and the piece on arrival, and report any concern with photographs where possible. Prompt reporting helps the review; it does not remove rights that cannot lawfully be limited.

06 / Quality & remedies

When something
needs attention.

If a piece appears faulty or does not match the agreed specification, contact the contracting supplier with your project reference and a description of the concern. Photographs or drawings may help the review.

Any right to repair, replacement, a price reduction or a refund under applicable law remains unaffected. The fact that a piece is bespoke does not remove those rights. These rights also remain after photo or video inspection.

07 / Designs & permissions

Designs
& permissions.

Only provide reference images, drawings and files that you are entitled to share and use for the project. Discuss any third-party design permissions before work is agreed.

Ownership or licensing of design files, confidentiality and permission to publish client work are to be agreed separately in writing. Supplying reference files does not by itself transfer ownership of your designs to Fosource.

08 / Questions & rights

A clear way
to resolve things.

For a question or concern, use the supplier contact details in your quotation or order confirmation and include your project reference. Keep a written record of the issue and any agreed next steps.

These terms do not exclude or limit rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Any governing-law or dispute-resolution arrangements must preserve mandatory legal protections and be confirmed for the contracting supplier and relevant market.
